Crawford’s epic rock opera, Voice in the Light to be released worldwide by ProgRockrecords May 20, 2007. Performed by the Progressive Rock band Amaran’s Plight, Voice in the Light is a faith based conceptual piece about a man’s search for answers following a near death experience. The story and primary lyrics were written by John W. Crawford, who also served as Executive Producer and musical director. The band, Amaran’s Plight boasts an all-star lineup from Progressive Rock in: DC Cooper (Silent Force, Ex-Royal Hunt), Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery), Nick D’Virgilio (Spocks Beard, Genesis, Mike Keneally, Sheryl Crow) and Kurt Babaras (Under the Sun) Vice in the Light was Produced and Composed by Gary Wehrkamp who also played guitar and keyboards on the record. Performed in the tradition of classic Progressive Rock the music fits the structure and emotion of the storyline in such a way that the listener can feel the whole experience of the concept put to music. Crawford’s family adventure book is currently available in bookstores. Loosely based on the author’s life and dog, the book follows the life and times of a boy and his dog in rural Tennessee. In the same vein as Big Red, Where the Red Fern Grows and Old Yeller’, Life in Honeysuckle Valley is a good old fashioned tale of a country living and the adventures of a boy and his dog.
